Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Northern Arizona Healthcare. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care
- Obtain patient history and educate patients/families regarding procedures and/or treatment to be performed as well as risk factors and prevention.
- Position patients appropriately for the applicable radiographic procedure.
- Perform radiographic procedures and analysis according to departmental guidelines.
- Develop and evaluate radiographic results for technical quality, such as density, contrast, definition, and distortion.
- Modality Specific
- Perform sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate, and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data.
- Operate ultrasonic equipment to produce images of organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes.
- Utilize transabdominal technology to monitor patient or fetus health, detect or monitor tumors/cysts, and diagnose cardiovascular conditions.
- Quality
- Adhere to regulatory and organizational standards affecting patient care and safety as well as all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements, demonstrating ability to troubleshoot and notifying appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
- Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound program or Associates of Applied Science degree and graduation from an Ultrasound certificate program.
- ARDMS certification within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum 1 year general hospital experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
