Consulting Payroll Administrator

We are seeking a seasoned professional to manage our payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and internal policies. As a Consulting Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the administration of the electronic timekeeping system, reviewing and verifying timesheets and work schedules, processing payroll on a bi-weekly basis, and coordinating with HR to ensure correct employee data.

About the Role
  • Manage the electronic timekeeping system and set up each employee to ensure proper time recording.
  • Review and verify timesheets and work schedules for accuracy and completeness.
  • Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and handle the calculation of wages, benefits, tax deductions, commissions, etc.
  • Coordinate with HR to ensure correct employee data and maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
  • Prepare and submit reports on payroll to upper management and ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll and prepare and submit reports with payroll information to the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with the finance and human resources departments to align and reconcile payroll data.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration, with strong experience in the nonprofit industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a particular emphasis on Excel, and experience with payroll software, such as ADP or Paychex.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism, knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal payroll and tax laws, and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
