What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a highly experienced Tax Practice Manager who excels in tax review work and has a natural ability to interact effectively with clients. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

Responsibilities:
  • Tax Review: Oversee and review tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary) to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients, serving as their trusted advisor for tax-related inquiries and financial planning.
  • Tax Planning & Advisory: Assist in year-end tax planning, develop strategies to optimize clients' tax positions, and conduct consultations to discuss tax-saving opportunities.
  • Project Management: Manage tax projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and addressing any client concerns.
  • Consultation Meetings: Prepare agendas, review documents, and lead discussions for both annual business consultations and tax planning sessions.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflows.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or EA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent tax experience, including a strong focus on tax review and client-facing roles at a CPA firm.
  • Proficiency in tax software (Lacerte preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software is a plus but not required.
  • Strong customer service skills and a passion for client success.
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual office environment.
