Job Overview

As a Construction Superintendent with Hughes General Contractors, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a construction project. This includes coordinating and directing subcontractors, procuring materials and equipment, ensuring safety protocols are in place, and communicating effectively with clients and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and direct subcontractors to ensure timely completion of project tasks
  • Procure materials and equipment as needed to support project operations
  • Oversee all safety aspects of the project, including compliance with state and federal building codes
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal departments to ensure project goals are met
  • Manage and coordinate site work related to the project, including logistics and production

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on concrete and tilt projects
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Extensive knowledge of concrete and concrete tilt projects, as well as state and federal building codes
  • Previous supervisory experience managing 20+ individuals
  • Comfortable using basic Microsoft programs, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, with Spanish a plus
  • Willingness to relocate locally on an as needed basis per project requirements
