Job Summary

We are seeking a mid to senior-level Forensic Civil Structural Engineer to enhance our team of professionals supporting clients throughout the US. Our engineers perform forensic investigations, provide consultation, prepare technical papers, and serve as expert witnesses. Assignments will require regular local and regional travel to project sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field observations, testing, and data collection.
  • Prepare reports detailing observations, testing results, research conducted, and opinions or recommendations.
  • Work with building departments to determine repair directives.
  • Conduct research and develop technical topics for publication.
  • Meet with and present to peers and clients.
  • Engage in client-relations marketing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited school.
  • Familiarity with modern building codes and industry standards.
  • 2-7 years of experience as a forensic engineer.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel and conduct site inspections.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PE or SE license.
  • Testimony experience as a designated expert witness.
  • Experience in engineering design or construction.
  • Experience conducting damage assessments and forensic investigations.
Physical and Mental Job Qualifications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to travel to various project sites and conduct field investigations.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments, both indoors and outdoors.
