About the RoleAs an Intervential Radiology Technologist, you'll be responsible for operating fluoroscopic equipment, assisting physicians with procedures, and preparing patients for diagnostic tests. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and maintain accurate patient records. You'll also need to be familiar with radiation protection standards and be able to operate IV and dye injector pumps.
Requirements- 1 year of experience as an IR Tech
- ARRT (R) National Certification and state-specific licensing when required
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Vascular Interventional certificate preferred
In addition to these requirements, you'll need to be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty, and have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
