Medical Director for Inpatient Rehab Facility

**Overview of the Opportunity**
">TeamHealth is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our inpatient rehab facility located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This part-time role will involve primary care consulting work with the flexibility to choose your daily rounding schedule.
As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for managing chronic disease, diagnosing illnesses and medical conditions, and implementing plans of care for patients in an interdisciplinary medical team setting. You will also collaborate with clinicians, facility leaders, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective treatment delivery and provide oversight, guidance, and mentorship to nurse practitioners.
**Key Responsibilities**

- Primary care rounding in inpatient rehab hospital
- Manage chronic disease, diagnose illnesses and medical conditions, and implement plan of care
- Collaborate with clinicians, facility leaders and others regarding care and services
- Build relationships with patients, patients' family members, and facility staff to facilitate effective treatment delivery
- Provide oversight, guidance, and mentorship to our nurse practitioners
- Conduct clinical case reviews, as needed and share tools, information, and guidelines as they relate to quality of care
- Represent TeamHealth on appropriate external levels engaging and establishing/maintaining relationships within the post-acute care community
- Collaborate with leadership to review care coordination initiatives, develop collaborative intervention plans, and share ideas about network management issues

- Primary care experience required
- Inpatient rehab facility experience a plus but not required
- Active and unrestricted Indiana license or application in process
- Active and unrestricted DEA/prescriptive authority or application in process

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $50,450-$50,450, with no cap on productivity income potential.
