Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Cluster, a leading company in the semiconductor fabrication industry. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing precision mechanical components and systems for our high-speed fabrication facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop precision mechanical components and systems
  • Work with manufacturing partners and equipment for prototyping and manufacturing mechanical systems
  • Evaluate and refine mechanical systems according to performance
  • Produce comprehensive documentation encompassing CAD designs, drawings, and design reasoning, etc.
  • Work on advanced technologies such as lithography, deposition, nanometer precision motion control, plasma etching systems, vacuum chambers, etc.
Requirements:
  • B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2+ years of industry experience as a Mechanical Engineer
  • Extensive experience with mechanical system analysis and design
  • Experience with 3D printing, rapid prototyping, and manual machining
  • Experience with tolerance analysis and GD&T
  • Experience with SolidWorks / Onshape, (FEA, 2D drawings, simulations, etc.)
  • Design experience for additive manufacturing and conventional machining
  • Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and thermal properties for a variety of metals
  • Experience with precision engineering (nanoscale mechanical precision, microfluidics, vacuum chamber etc.)
Ideal Candidate:
  • Understanding of semiconductor processing
  • Experience with design for high voltage, EM fields, and vacuums
  • Python scripting and data visualization experience
