Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for educating, training, and monitoring patients using ventilators, PAP therapy, home oxygen, and other respiratory equipment. You will assess patient needs, communicate with physicians, and provide quality care tailored to individual patient needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a complete listing of current respiratory patients
  • Provide initial and ongoing phone contacts with patients per Rotech policy and procedure
  • Conduct in-home visits to patients per Rotech's policy and procedure
  • Assess patient needs through verbal and physical assessments, diagnostics, and patient education
  • Set up and monitor highly technical respiratory equipment, including ventilators, PAP therapy, and home oxygen
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and work performed
  • Assume on-call responsibilities for phone consultations during non-business hours
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
  • Credentials as a respiratory therapist, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is preferred
  • Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)
  • Ability to accurately perform simple mathematical calculations, effectively communicate in English, and interpret various communications
