{"h2":{"text":"About the Role"},"p":{"text":"As a Software Developer, IT Applications at American Airlines, you will be responsible for leveraging cutting-edge technology to solve business problems. You will participate in all phases of the development process, from inception through transition, and advocate for agile processes and test-driven development. You will use object-oriented development tools to analyze, model, design, construct, and test reusable objects, and improve the codebase. You will collaborate with leaders, business analysts, project managers, IT architects, technical leads, and other developers to understand needs and develop solutions according to business requirements. You will maintain and enhance existing enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain-driven design and test-driven development. You will troubleshoot and debug complex issues, identify and implement solutions, and assist with creation of detailed project specifications, requirements, and estimates. You will work with software architects to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise growth needs, support the development of coding standards, and adhere to best practices and security guidelines. You will research and implement new technologies to enhance current processes, security, and performance. You will have a keen desire to learn and expand your depth of knowledge, and you will be able to analyze complex problems and implement solutions and/or workarounds. You will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training. You will have 2 years of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience, and you will have experience with Agile project management methodology, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, Angular (version 9 or later), UI frameworks (Material, Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.), and testing frameworks (unit testing, e2e, etc.).
