Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Department Manager to join our team at Floor & Decor. As a key member of our sales and service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, training and developing product sales specialists, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train and develop product sales specialists to provide excellent customer service
  • Ensure a highly attentive and accurate level of customer service
  • Complete product specialist certification courses
  • Communicate standard operating procedure direction and changes to associates
  • Process customers at check-out using the point of sale system
  • Process customer refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines
  • Present 'how-to' classes to customers
  • Follow established cash, check and charge card acceptance procedures
  • Answer the telephone according to accepted guidelines
  • Stock and tag merchandise displays as required
  • Create price tags and merchandise signs

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of customer service/sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
