Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care in the operating room, including preparing patients for surgery, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and test results.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest medical procedures and technologies.
Requirements:
• Current registration as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New York.
• Two years of acute care experience, with at least one year in the operating room or a postgraduate perioperative program.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Computer skills and ability to use electronic medical records systems.
