Job Summary

The University of Virginia Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging seeks a fellowship-trained board-eligible or board-certified Interventional Radiologist to join our team as an Assistant Professor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a broad range of peripheral vascular interventions, including angioplasty, thrombolysis, atherectomy, stenting, and endoleak therapies.
  • Conduct complex venous recanalizations, filter removal, vein ablations, and sclerotherapy at a freestanding outpatient center.
  • Participate in hepatic interventions, including TIPS, RTO, biliary work, and interventional oncologic work.
  • Collaborate with the UVA PERT team to provide pulmonary embolism therapies.
  • Contribute to the growth of pediatric interventions, including vascular malformation practice.
  • Admit patients, provide inpatient and outpatient consults, and operate a dedicated IR clinic.
  • Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and students in the Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging.
Requirements
  • MD or equivalent degree.
  • Eligibility for Virginia State medical licensure.
  • Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology.
  • Eligibility for ABR certification.
