Job Title: IT Director

The Faena Culture is a movement that embodies culture, art, and community. As the IT Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all Information Technology functions, maintaining the hardware and software of the Faena District technology environment. You will collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless and impeccable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all technology operations and evaluate them according to established goals
  • Develop and implement IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management
  • Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs
  • Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software
  • Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
  • Identify the need for upgrades, configurations, or new systems and report to upper management
  • Coordinate IT managers and supervise computer scientists, technicians, and other professionals to provide guidance
  • Control budget and report on expenditure
  • Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts
  • Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring systems performance
  • Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems
  • Provide direction, guidance, and training to IT staff
  • Develops, maintains, and complies with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards
  • Maintain competent knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended
  • Reviews all Information Systems in all technological matters
  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests and residents, however busy and whatever time of day
  • Maintain positive guest and resident relations at all times
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas
  • Remains accessible by telephone or email
  • Prepare work orders for maintenance repairs and distribute to Engineering. Monitor completion of work orders submitted
  • Maintains confidentiality and security of specified hotel information, correspondence, reports, and files
  • Ensures that hardware and software are kept at current levels of releases where applicable
  • Provides telecommunication and PBX support for administrative users and guests
  • Coordinates with vendors to ensure the timely implementation of projects, hardware, software, and maintenance of systems
  • Reviews and approves technology hardware and software purchases within budgetary constraints
  • Plans and budgets for future hardware and software purchases
  • Plans and sets targets for problem resolutions
  • Maintains current inventory records of all hardware products, software licenses, and maintenance agreements
  • Maintains the security of designated areas and confidentiality of all relevant information and documents
  • Manages appropriate retirement of computing assets
  • Establishes and maintains disaster recovery policies and procedures for hotel systems
  • Ensures confidentiality in all matters related to his/her activity
  • Ensures that all policies and procedures in the operation are followed in accordance to the set procedures
  • Reviews and continuously evaluates existing and new hardware and software configurations and makes changes when appropriate
  • Give direction and be responsible for the implementation of plans. Monitor plans' effectiveness and introduce changes in response to the marketplace, including setting targets, planning, and scheduling work and performance indicators that are typically productivity and efficiency measures
  • Searched for areas for improvement in existing systems and procedures with new software and hardware
  • Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning of the departments
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and development of staff. Always ensuring that productivity, guest satisfaction, and high staff morale is taken into consideration upon decision making
  • Generate maximum financial performance for the hotel. This includes responsibility for generation of revenue, and effective cost controls
  • Cost Consciousness - Works within approved budget; Develops and implements cost-saving measures; Contributes to profits and revenue; Conserves organizational resources
