Dauby O'Connor and Zaleski, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to contribute to our team's success. As a Tax Manager, you will have the opportunity to work directly with clients, providing exceptional service and managing tax engagements in a fast-paced environment. This position is located in our Carmel office with the option to work remotely one day per week, as per company policy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tax compliance for partnerships and not-for-profits in the affordable housing and community development industry.
  • Provide tax compliance for corporations and individuals in the real estate industry.
  • Develop client relationships by providing timely and unmatched client service, exceeding client expectations.
  • Assist in managing, developing, and mentoring professional tax staff.
  • Review returns prepared by tax staff.
  • Effectively delegate responsibilities to others and monitor efforts of tax teams, when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with other tax seniors, managers, and leaders in the firm in workflow management and development of personnel.
  • Successfully research complex tax issues, apply findings to projects in a practical manner, and clearly communicate those findings to both clients and internally.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and current CPA license
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Must have a strong sense of ownership for delivering high quality service
  • Excellent team building and workflow management skills
  • Advanced tax technical and research skills in federal and state taxation
  • Candidate must be able to maintain a calm demeanor in stressful circumstances
  • Candidate must be flexible and comfortable working in a team-oriented and collaborative management environment
  • Proficiency with utilizing a professional tax software (Prosystems/Axcess is a plus)
