Job Summary
General Motors is seeking a skilled Electrician Journeyperson to join our team. As an Electrician Journeyperson, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and electrical equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve electrical issues.
- Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure seamless operation of electrical systems.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques.
Requirements
- U.S. Department of Labor Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate in Electrical trade or six (6) years of documented experience as an Electrician.
- Ability to work flexible shift hours, including day, afternoon, or night shifts, and overtime hours as needed.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs., depending on department.
- Comfortable working in a busy environment and navigating a variety of electrical systems.
