Job Summary

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking a skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team in Crisis and Emergency Services. As an Attending Psychiatrist, you will provide psychiatric evaluations, formulations, and direct clinical care to children, adolescents, and their families in various settings, including crisis, emergency, inpatient, outpatient, consults, community, and outreach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and their families in a manner consistent with the policies and procedures of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Comply with the documentation requirements of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Support the policies and procedures of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Support the quality initiatives and budgetary goals set for the department.
  • Regularly participate in clinical and administrative meetings related to the operations of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Provide supervision and teaching for the Child Psychiatry residents, general psychiatry residents, other specialties requiring psychiatry training, and medical students.
  • Comply with scheduling and billing practices of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Requirements
  • Doctorate in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine required.
  • Board Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry within 36 months required.
  • Medical License in Pennsylvania State Licensing Board preferred.
  • DEA License in Pennsylvania State Licensing Board preferred.
