Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tooling Engineer to join our team at Schneider Electric. As a key member of our metal fabrication team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership to internal and external sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage projects related to product transfers, capacity additions, new tooling, and tooling maintenance.
  • Identify and implement ways to improve safety, quality, and service within metal fabrication processes.
  • Collaborate with plants, engineering, safety, quality, and purchasing teams to drive improvements in metal fabrication processes.
  • Represent the voice of the customer and drive safety, quality, delivery, and productivity through metal fabrication process management.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions for external and internal process issues in metal fabrication processes.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in tooling (new construction and maintenance) and metal fabrication.
  • Experience in metal punching, cutting, bending, and fabrication of copper/aluminum and various sheet metals.
  • Mechanical Engineer or Tooling degree preferred.
  • Desirable to have Six Sigma Green Belt and SPS Lean Skills or equivalent.
