Nevada State University is committed to excellence in teaching and learning. We are seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach College Success to students from Spring Valley HS.

Job Summary

This is a part-time, non-tenure track position that will ask you to design course materials, teach one or more in-person sections of a course, and use Canvas, Nevada State's learning management system. You will also be responsible for maintaining regular communication with students, adjunct coordinators, faculty liaisons, and department chairs.

Responsibilities
  • Design course materials, including syllabi, lectures, assignments, and exams.
  • Teach one or more in-person sections of a course.

Requirements
  • Master's degree.
  • Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching, educational excellence, and mentoring undergraduate students.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated commitment to active learning and innovative teaching.
  • Previous teaching experience.
