Job Overview

General Employment is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment issues.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance and repair activities with supervisory and management personnel.
  • Perform equipment and facility PM procedures.
  • Communicate equipment status and issues effectively with management personnel.
  • Train less-experienced maintenance personnel in equipment troubleshooting and areas of expertise.
  • Maintain accurate equipment repair records.
  • Manage critical equipment spare parts inventory.
  • Perform building and grounds maintenance tasks.
  • Execute low voltage wiring projects.
  • Perform basic plumbing and repairs of piping systems.
  • Fabricate and repair metal tables and fixtures using MIG and stick welding techniques.
  • Carry out basic machining tasks using mill, lathe, drill press, and surface grinders.
  • Operate equipment safely and maintain it in a clean and reliable condition.
  • Collaborate with other employees to maintain a safe and clean environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance activities with supervisory and management personnel.
  • Proficiency in low voltage wiring projects.
  • Basic plumbing skills.
  • Experience with metal fabrication and repair using MIG and stick welding techniques.
  • Basic machining skills using equipment such as mills, lathes, drill presses, and surface grinders.
