About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Contracts to join our team at Dyne Therapeutics Inc., a clinical-stage muscle disease company. As a key member of our business operations, you will be responsible for managing contract negotiations and agreements that support our innovative therapeutics development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), consulting agreements, and Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs).
  • Develop template agreements and alternative negotiation practices to streamline contract management processes.
  • Assist in implementing contract management policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Provide legal support for business development, compliance, corporate ethics, employment law, and GDPR matters as needed.
  • Manage contract lifecycle processes, including tracking status and deadlines, and maintaining contract databases.
  • Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and legal counsel to execute contracts efficiently.
  • Conduct research and analysis on contractual and regulatory issues to inform business decisions and mitigate risks.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice in the US.
  • At least 8 years' experience in contracts negotiation and administration in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven track record of drafting and negotiating various contracts, preferably in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical setting.
  • Experience working within a contracts management system, preferably Conga, is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of privacy laws, including GDPR.
  • A dedicated individual with excellent communication, writing, and computer skills.
  • Proven multi-tasker with exceptional negotiation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and information-seeking skills, with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Exceptional business judgment, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical advice while balancing business needs with legal risks.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $140,000 - $160,000 per year, based on the title, job description, and location. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
