Business Development Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Development Representative to join our team at VSP Vision.

As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for educating employees about the benefits of VSP Vision and encouraging membership enrollment at client benefit fairs. You will travel to VSP client locations or participate virtually during the open enrollment period to explain the VSP plan(s) offered by the company, answer questions and assist members and potential members to determine what best meets their needs and the benefits of enrolling with VSP.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to effectively interact with potential and existing VSP members directly in a group setting or one-on-one. They will also have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience working in customer service, HR/benefits, or health insurance
  • Professional and friendly conduct, with excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of people within an organization
  • Flexible and able to quickly and effectively change priorities and direction
