Senior Financial Officer

As a key member of the Business Unit Finance Team at State Street Corporation, the successful candidate will collaborate with business heads and their leadership teams to drive strategic business planning and growth initiatives, develop insightful analytics that help understand business performance, influence business decisions, and drive overall business growth and corporate profitability.
The candidate will assist in finance-related matters for a global organization working with partners across multiple business lines and regions and will be supported by Finance Insight Centers, or centralized support functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Business teams and support/advise on strategic business planning and initiatives ensuring fiscally sound decisions
- Develop financial models and scenario analysis to challenge and evaluate business case development and/or decisions and track performance metrics
- Assist in development and review of monthly and quarterly financial performance and present to the senior management highlighting key business drivers and insights
- Support financial measurement framework to optimize spend and create functional
- Support the planning processes including multi-year strategy plan, annual budget/forecast
- Establish and maintain strong relationship with broader Finance organization including fellow LFOs, Insight Centers, Accounting, and other corporate support functions, to ensure quality deliverables and proper information flow
- Constantly assess the current processes to drive and manage changes for improvement
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant experience within business partnering, commercial finance functions, or FP&A (Financial Services industry experience is a plus)
- Ability to articulately express ideas and clearly laid out financial analysis to influence business and finance partners
- Must have strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex data into an easy-to-understand analysis
- Strong Excel skills
- Prior experience with Hyperion SmartView and/or Data analytics tools (e.g. Alteryx, Tableau) is a plus
- Ability to express ideas to business partners with supported financial analysis
- Must possess strong communication and presentation skills
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish credibility within business and finance
- Ability to work under pressure and overcome challenges from a constantly shifting delivery landscape

Salary Range:
$80,000 - $132,500 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
