Responsibilities and Expectations

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sales Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating revenue growth through the sale of cemetery and cremation services to families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed monthly sales revenue quotas by presenting Dignity Memorial Personal Planning Guides to consumers and influencing them to pre-plan cemetery and cremation services.
  • Guide and tour prospective families through cemetery grounds, actively listening to their needs and offering solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Complete contracts accurately and follow up on outstanding documents and family questions.

Prospecting and Building Relationships

  • Self-initiate leads throughout the community, professional networks, and civic organizations to build professional and reliable relationships.
  • Prospect a minimum of 50% of the workday, utilizing various techniques such as face-to-face interactions, door knocking, and seminars.
  • Obtain referrals from families served through aftercare visits.

Teamwork and Collaboration

  • Collaborate with management and staff to provide high-quality services and improve processes.
  • Share family concerns with the rest of the team.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
  • Funeral Directors License where required by state law; Life Insurance license where required by state law.
  • Current state/province issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sales experience preferred; industry experience a plus.
  • Previous Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems experience a plus.
