Job Summary:

The University of California, Irvine seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Head of Operations Activation. This key role will be responsible for leading the successful planning and activation of new medical centers, ambulatory sites, and other projects of strategic significance for UCI Health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and activation of new medical centers, ambulatory sites, and other projects, ensuring alignment and coordination between interdisciplinary teams.
  • Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Establish and maintain strong matrixed relationships with system stakeholders and project partners across departments of UCI Health.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for process improvement, leveraging lean methodologies, project management, change management, and other improvement techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business plans, including analysis, budgeting, feasibility studies, and implementation.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to project teams, ensuring successful project outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in project management, operations, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in leading complex projects.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in tools such as Microsoft Office, Visio, Access, and statistical data analysis software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Experience with structured change management methodologies and project management or new building activation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field, such as business administration, public health, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
