Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Insurance Client Advisor to join our team at IMA Financial Group. As a Business Insurance Client Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional service to our small commercial lines clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and demonstrate IMA Select's core values, including a commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurance carriers through effective communication and timely interactions.
  • Manage daily account servicing and client advisement needs, including handling client and insurance company inquiries, resolving coverage and premium discrepancy issues, and maintaining accurate account information in our agency management system.
  • Develop and implement remarketing strategies in accordance with client servicing standards and market changes.
  • Oversee the renewal process for assigned accounts, including preparation of pre-renewal summaries, creation of renewal applications and submissions, online quoting, and negotiation of terms and premiums.
  • Participate in conference calls and in-person client meetings to review insurance strategies and business operations.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell new lines of coverage or services on existing accounts.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on accounts receivable items in accordance with IMA's Accounts Receivable Policy.
Requirements
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently on matters of significance.
  • Ability to manage complex accounts and analyze insurance quotes to make recommendations.
  • Knowledge of policy forms and endorsements.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Math skills, including familiarity with ratios, percentages, discounts, and commissions.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Minimum 2 years of similar or related experience.
  • Property and Casualty license required for the state of business, with a commitment to ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure.
