Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Customer Service Representative to join our Parking Operations team at the Spokane Airport. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, collecting parking fees, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Parking Fee Collection: Collect parking fees from customers and process employee parking transactions, promissory notes, and exception tickets.
  2. Cash Handling: Assure security of cash receipts and perform end-of-shift cash verification and close-out procedures.
  3. Equipment Maintenance: Troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repair, including car inventory procedures and reporting within specified time requirements.
  4. Customer Service: Greet passengers in a friendly and courteous manner, supervise the conduct of passengers in the vehicle and at boarding locations, and prepare shuttle bus for operation and inspect for damage and clean at end of the shift.
  5. Safety and Security: Monitor two-way radio calls, report adverse conditions, and complete accident/incident reports, and maintain a safe and secure environment for our customers.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED with course in Business Math, experience with cash, check, and credit card transactions, and balancing receipts/cash reports required. Snow removal, janitorial, automotive maintenance/repair experience preferred.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Deliver excellent internal and external customer service, work as a contributing member of the team, read, write, speak, and understand English, knowledge of cash handling procedures, basic computer skills, and present in a professional manner and with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 50 pounds, sit and walk for extended periods, stand, stoop, kneel, bend, lift, carry, and reach, and close vision and ability to read small print.
Working Conditions

Work in shuttle bus and small, semi-enclosed toll booth, occasional exposure to wind, rain, snow, ice, and cold/hot weather extremes, regular exposure to vehicle traffic, noise, and exhaust. Required to obtain and maintain an Airport security badge as a condition of employment, and this is a safety-sensitive position.

Benefits

Part-time employees may be eligible to participate in the Washington State Retirement System, and the Airport provides employee assistance benefits, an employee wellness program, and parking privileges. Part-time employees are not eligible for medical/dental benefit coverage or vacation pay, but do accrue sick leave at 1 hour for every 40 hours worked.

Estimated Salary

$18.00 per hour.
