Astro Machine Works Inc, a comprehensive machining and fabrication facility in Lancaster County, PA, is seeking a full-time experienced Metal Fabricator for our All Fab facility in Denver, PA.

This position involves fabricating, positioning, aligning, and fitting parts of structural metal products on a first shift schedule.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in Metal Fabrication and Welding or equivalent training and education.

Responsibilities include:

  • Measuring dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications
  • Operating welding equipment, cutting, punching, grinding, bending equipment
  • Laying out, marking, and assembling parts and structures
  • Smothing metal surfaces or edges
  • Reshaping metal workpieces to established specifications

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Metal Fabrication, layout, etc.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their capabilities, uses, repair and maintenance
  • Ability to read prints and calculate measurements
  • Sawing, Punching, Bending, Drilling, Assembly
  • Welding (Mig)
  • Ability to use a Plasma Machine (a plus)
