About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Platform Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data platform team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data architectures that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data lake and warehouse architectures to support business intelligence and analytics requirements
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to design, plan, and scope efforts related to product and project work
  • Develop and maintain patterns and templates for data flow and data modeling
  • Work with data analysts and developers to determine enhancements to our data hub that can be implemented efficiently and smoothly
  • Assist with requirements planning and project scoping for the product team
  • Develop code, perform code reviews, and work with the team to ensure architecture is implemented as designed
  • Maintain and expand our data dictionary in collaboration with Data Analysts
  • Offer innovative technical solutions to evolving customer requirements
Requirements
  • 7+ years' relevant experience in software development
  • 5+ years' data architecture experience
  • 3+ years' developing in a structured programming language (Python, Java, C# etc.)
  • 3+ years' experience with cloud computing/data platforms, Azure
  • Advanced knowledge of data structures in both relational and non-relational databases
  • Knowledge of different data modeling methodologies
  • Deep familiarity with relational and non-relational databases, such as Databricks, Postgres, SQL Server, DynamoDB, Cassandra
  • Experience with Agile and Kanban methodologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience
Qualifications
  • Experience architecting Databricks data solutions
  • 2+ years developing in Databricks/Spark/PySpark
  • 2+ years' experience working in a healthcare data management environment
Compensation

The estimated salary range for this full-time position is $163,000 - $188,000 per year, depending on location and additional factors. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, EAP, short-term and long-term disability, 16 days PTO, 8 paid holidays, fully paid holiday closure, parental and family medical leave, 401k, stock options, annual bonuses, and salary increases based on merit.
