Job Summary

As a Warehouse Associate at Distribution & Transportation, you will play a vital role in the distribution center's shipping and receiving functions. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and safe movement of products throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform shipping and receiving tasks as assigned by supervisors or designees

• Complete all necessary documents related to shipping and receiving tasks

• Select and palletize grocery, produce, meat, frozen food, and dairy orders for shipment to retail stores accurately

• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently

• Perform pre-operational checks of pallet jacks or forklifts according to company policy

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to good sanitation practices

Requirements

• Certification on powered industrial equipment where applicable

• Ability to use a personal computer for data entry and research purposes

• Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• High School Education

• Familiarity or experience in a distribution environment

Preferred Requirements

• Ability to reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to 80 lbs. repetitively

• Ability to meet production standards set by the company

• Ability to stand for long periods of time

• Ability to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers

• Must be able to work a needed schedule to perform assigned duties

• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks)
