Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at Kaiser Permanente. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners and other radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images of the human body. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will ensure that our patients receive accurate and timely diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform Computed Tomographic (CT) imaging procedures to produce high-quality images of the human body.
  • Assist physicians during minor surgical procedures and in developing new techniques and procedures.
  • Assist in obtaining tissue specimens and follow infection control procedures.
  • Modify imaging techniques as needed to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Observe and monitor patient condition during and after procedures, and take appropriate action as needed.
  • Shave and apply antiseptic solutions to patient skin areas, and transport patients to/from procedure areas.
  • Assist physicians with fluoroscopic examinations and process digital or film images.
  • Perform radiation safety monitoring and record pertinent patient information.
  • Review patient charts to identify significant patient conditions and compile pertinent Quality Assurance data.
  • Operate radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable x-ray equipment, and arrange for repair of imaging equipment as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required, including maintaining equipment, supplies, and work areas in accordance with department guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Three (3) years recent experience as a CT Technologist, or successful completion of the department's formal CT training program.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of and utilize theories, principles, practices, and techniques of Radiologic Technology.
  • Consistently demonstrates the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service to each other, to members, customers, contracted providers, and vendors.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Diagnostic Radiologic Technology Certificate (California) OR Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California)
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California)
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California)
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Basic Life Support
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advance Certificate in CT (ARRT)
