About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Behavioral Health Department. As an LPN, you will work collaboratively with physicians and other mental health providers to provide comprehensive health services to individuals and families in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete intake assessments, individualized treatment planning, and ongoing clinical assessment to evaluate progress and other treatment needs.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff and patients.
  • Participate in the care of patients as an active part of the treatment team and works under the supervision of the physician/CRNP.
  • Communicate with clients (parents/guardians of clients who are minors) to discuss treatment, side effects, laboratory results, medication refills, or other clinical concerns.
  • Under the supervision of the physician, administer medications as needed.
Requirements
  • LPN diploma and active PA licensure with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience working directly with individuals with complex trauma, co-occurring mental health and substance use.
  • Ability to work with youth, adolescents, and families strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics of persons and/or families living with mental health and substance use.
  • A valid driver's license along with access to reliable transportation.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA, privacy laws, and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of DSM 5- TR.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain well-informed with MCO, County, State, and Federal policies and procedures.
