Job Title: Controller

Job Summary:

Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Controller to lead the finance and accounting function. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the monthly close process, financial statement preparation, and payroll management.
  • Manage the Company's general ledger, ensuring adherence to proper GAAP accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with various functional groups to assess the financial impact of current and future activities.
  • Monitor and report weekly on key performance indicators, identifying and reporting business trends requiring review.
  • Provide weekly updates to the General Manager on financial performance.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Intermediate FP&A experience.
  • Intermediate or expert proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.
  • Ability to develop accounting processes/procedures from the ground up.
  • Strong initiative, ownership, and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • 7 years of Controller or corresponding managerial accounting experience required.
  • CPA Preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
