Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Maintenance Program Director to oversee Operations and Maintenance (O&M), repair, minor construction, and sustainment contract for a large healthcare government healthcare facilities program in the Springfield and St. Louis area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day facilities management for up to 2 million square feet of government medical treatment facilities.
  • Oversee a diverse team of managers, supervisors, technicians, and administrative staff.
  • Respond to facility emergencies 24/7/365.
  • Ensure staff and subcontractors adhere to management plans and processes, including safety and quality requirements.
  • Direct scheduling and completion of preventive maintenance, repairs, and project work.
  • Closely coordinate with customer Facility Management points of contact to provide formal and ad hoc reports, scheduling services, sharing program status, and making best practice recommendations.
Requirements

The ideal candidate shall have:

  • A minimum of ten years' experience in medical/healthcare facility operations and maintenance, including supervision of a diversified workforce responsible for 24-hour operations, maintenance, and repair of medical facilities.
  • Working experience with NFPA, EPA, TJC, CMS, OSHA codes and regulations.
  • At least five years' experience with The Joint Commission compliance (maintenance and documentation requirements for Environment of Care and Life Safety compliance).
  • Formal training related to TJC Environment of Care/Life-Safety Code standards.
  • At least two The Joint Commission surveys.
  • Experience using DMLSS CMMS is preferred.
  • An American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification is preferred.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
