Ophthalmic Specialist

Altru Health System is seeking a skilled Ophthalmologist to provide high-quality patient care in Grand Forks, ND.

Essential Job Functions:
Evaluates patients with eye injuries or illnesses and provides diagnosis and treatment.
Counsels patients on preventative healthcare measures and advises on treatment options.
Exercises professional judgment in diagnosis and treatment consistent with Altru's policies and standards.
Maintains accurate and timely documentation to ensure quality patient care and reimbursement.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Doctorate in Ophthalmology from an accredited medical school.
Board certification in Ophthalmology or eligibility for certification.
Licensure to practice medicine in North Dakota and/or Minnesota.
Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, and occasional stooping, bending, and reaching.
Working Conditions:
This position is primarily indoors with occasional outdoor activities.
The work environment is fast-paced and requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Driving Requirement:
This position requires occasional driving, but is not a primary responsibility.
The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
