We are seeking an Inpatient Coding Specialist to join our team. This is a remote position with a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

The Inpatient Coding Specialist will be responsible for coding inpatient accounts with a balance less than $90,000, including Rehab and accounts that fall into the Inpatient Coder I category.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coding inpatient accounts with a balance less than $90,000, including Rehab and accounts that fall into the Inpatient Coder I category
  • Performs the functions of coding, DRG assignment, collection of predefined indicators, and abstracting medical records with a case mix greater than 1.5
  • Provides timely and accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for reimbursement and specific information for statistical purposes
  • Remains current with recognized resources - AHA Coding Clinic and Official Coding Guidelines
