Service Advisor Job Description

At Heritage Toyota, we're seeking a skilled Service Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our customers have a positive experience when bringing their vehicles to our shop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and Assist Customers: Welcome customers, determine the nature of their request, and provide clear explanations of company policies and procedures.
  • Answer Customer Questions: Respond to a variety of questions related to car repairs and servicing, providing accurate and helpful information.
  • Explain Estimates and Track Progress: Explain labor and parts estimates, investigate customer concerns, and keep customers informed about the status of their vehicle.
  • Direct Customers to Cashier: Assist customers with cashier duties as needed and ensure a smooth transaction process.
  • Follow-up with Customers: Check in with customers after work is completed to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with some college-level training desirable.
  • Relevant Experience: One to three years of relevant experience in the automotive industry, preferably in a service advisor or related role.
  • Valid Driver's License: Hold a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent customer relations skills, including basic sales skills, and the ability to work with little supervision.
