Job Summary:
The Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse III to join our Surgical Care team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the operating room setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
- Implement physician orders, administer medications to the sterile field, and document as required by organizational policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
- Act as the patient advocate in the surgical setting.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree is preferred.
- Must hold current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Obtains and maintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), CNOR is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience is preferred in the surgical setting.
