We are seeking a skilled Sales Development Executive to join our team at Johnson Controls, a global leader in smart, healthy and sustainable buildings. As a Sales Development Executive for Commercial Security Solutions, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our innovative security products and services to commercial clients.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a collaborative team that values your ideas and encourages professional growth while making facilities safe and secure. You will be part of our Building Technologies & Solutions business, where you will utilize the latest physical security technology to create holistic solutions for our customers.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Create new market share by selling Johnson Controls' products and services to new local commercial customers.
  • Generate an average of 6 proposals per week totaling $15,000.00 in NSP at a minimum.
  • Identify prospects utilizing creative lead-generating techniques and maintain productive working relationships with existing customers.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our complete line of products/services and customers' issues and needs through in-house training and reading/research.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $70,000 - $100,000 per year, based on experience, plus comprehensive benefits package including 401K, medical, dental, and vision care. You will also have extensive product and on-the-job/cross-training opportunities with outstanding resources.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Experience providing excellent customer service or retail sales.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to present to senior level executives within the customer and Johnson Controls organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred experience in security, technology sales industries or solution selling.
  • Sales experience in a 'hunter' role, going after new business.
