Job Summary

The Cardiac Care Office Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Cardiac Center's front office. This position is responsible for coordinating patient scheduling, insurance verification, and other administrative tasks to support the clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Utilize the Centricity system to register patient demographics and perform initial insurance verification.
  2. Coordinate patient scheduling activities, including maintenance of Physician schedules in the Centricity system.
  3. Greet patients and perform check-in/check-out in a positive, professional manner.
  4. Coordinate Physicians/Provider schedules with Cardiology Center, Cardiology rehab, and Cardiology office.
  5. Verify insurance coverage benefits and advise patients of covered therapy, tests, and procedures.
  6. Use Centricity, MARS, and MUSE systems to input information, print data reports, and analyze data.
  7. Provide administrative support to the Program Manager and clinical staff.
  8. Serve as a liaison between the Cardiac Center, Rehab, and physician offices.
  9. Independently manage the front office, including screening and receiving telephone calls.
  10. Maintain competency in operation of multiple electronic systems.

Requirements

  • Previous office coordination and/or healthcare experience.
  • Excellent customer relations skills.
  • Able to work independently and function in a dynamic environment.
  • Medical terminology and well-developed PC and word processing skills.
