Job Summary:

As a Medication Collection Technician at Tower Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient medication histories. Under the general direction of the hospital pharmacy, you will independently perform tasks related to collecting, reconciling, and entering medication history information into the patient's electronic medical record.

Responsibilities:

Collect and reconcile medication history information from patients, family members, and other healthcare providers.
Enter medication history information into the patient's electronic medical record for reconciliation by the admitting provider.
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and pharmacists to ensure accurate and complete medication histories.
Participate in the distribution of medications and perform tasks associated with regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Retail pharmacy experience required.
National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required upon hire or within the first 6 months of employment.
