Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Florida Medical Clinic. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist providers with clinical functions, including preparing patients for examination and treatment
  • Take and record vital signs, update patient information, and manage clinical tasks
  • Process medication requests, handle medication refill requests, and obtain prescription overrides as needed
  • Perform diagnostic studies and treatments as ordered by the provider, including EKGs and in-house testing
  • Enter charges for services rendered by the medical assistant and manage clinical tasks
  • Handle patient calls, return messages, and notify patients of test results and instructions from the provider
  • Schedule follow-up appointments, make follow-up calls to check on patients post-procedure, and triage patient calls and needs
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Strong customer service orientation and basic computer proficiency
  • Customer service experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods, use proper body mechanics, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
