We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager Registered Nurse (RN) for the Outpatient Infusion Centers located at Sentara Norfolk General and Sentara Independence.


Job Summary:

Responsible and accountable for the daily operations of one or more clinical areas. Models and leads professional practices consistent with organizational goals of safety, customer satisfaction and quality for the area of expertise.

Supervises staff, provides clinical/ technical expertise and engages in process improvements. Assists in the fiscal budgeting and management process for the department including billing/revenue management, payroll, purchasing and supply cost management.

Performs work assignments as needed to provide coverage and to mentor or assist staff. Three years of relevant RN nursing leadership experience required.

Strong clinical care knowledge base in area of expertise required.


Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise and manage clinical staff in the Outpatient Infusion Centers.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  4. Assist in the development and management of the department's budget.
  5. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

Three years of relevant RN nursing leadership experience required.

Strong clinical care knowledge base in area of expertise required.

Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire; Emergency Care - ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire; Oncology Care ONS/ONCC or Sentara approved course Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire.

Women's Care - Perinatal departments; Inpatient Pediatrics. All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.

N-2YR - RN-Associate's Degree (Required), N-3YR - RN-Diploma (Non-degree) (Required), N-4YR - RN-Bachelor's Level Degree (Required), N-6YR - RN-Master's Level Degree (Required), N-DN - RN-Doctorate Level Degree
