Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at General Motors. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment, including industrial machinery, conveyor systems, and material handling systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair mechanical equipment, including bearings, seals, and other components
  • Layout, assemble, and fabricate piping systems
  • Operate mobile equipment, such as forklifts and cranes
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Determine loading requirements for equipment and material

Requirements:

  • At least six years of related experience as a Millwright or a U.S. Department of Labor Certificate of Completion in the Millwright trade
  • Ability to work flexible shift hours, including day, afternoon, and night shifts, as well as overtime hours
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and navigate a busy environment
