About the Role:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) is a vital member of our healthcare team at Arbor Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Under the close supervision of registered nurses, this role performs a wide range of tasks, from providing basic care to patients to more advanced duties such as monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and developing care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize nursing knowledge and skills to implement basic preventative therapeutic and rehabilitative nursing care of assigned patients/families, as evidenced by documentation and observation of positive patient care outcomes.
Perform delegated independent nursing functions using established procedures, policies, guidelines, and standards, as observed by the registered nurse.
Administer medication accurately, observing patient response, as evidenced by documentation in the medical record and lack of negative outcomes.
Maintain and coordinate communication among patients/significant others, staff, and physicians, as evidenced within medical records, client, and healthcare team feedback.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Valid registration as an LVN/LPN in the state of practice.
Completion of relevant state Board of Nursing-approved programs.
