Job Summary:

Brasfield & Gorrie is seeking a Mailroom Clerk to join their team in the Birmingham office. The ideal candidate will have experience in mail processing, data entry, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Process USPS mail, including pickup, sorting, filing, and internal delivery.
  • Provide support for shipment of goods via US Mail, FedEx, and other carriers.
  • Enter data into computer systems for FedEx shipping.
  • Coordinate local delivery to and pickup from US Postal facilities.
  • Provide coverage in the Shipping/Receiving area.
  • Log in and distribute FedEx, UPS, and USPS packages.
  • Maintain awareness of the mechanical condition of the mail vehicle and arrange for maintenance as needed.
  • Sort mail/packages and group into categories for safe handling during delivery to various buildings on campus.
  • Provide support for internal delivery of packages to and from employee offices or other buildings within the corporate campus.
  • Assist employees with weighing packages/envelopes to determine proper postage amount.
  • Maintain the mailroom in an organized manner.
  • Must be capable of lifting heavy packages/boxes.
  • Provide miscellaneous support for the Maintenance Services Coordinators as requested.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Two years of work experience in an office service capacity.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Organizational skills with ability to multitask.
  • Good driving record.
