Role Overview

SSM Health seeks a skilled EEG/EMG Technologist to perform intraoperative neuromonitoring, assessing the function of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose potentially life-threatening neurological disorders using various techniques.
  • Monitor patients during brain and spine surgery, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Conduct Electroencephalogram (EEG), Evoked Potentials (EP), and other diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Analyze data and provide descriptive reports according to policy and procedure.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Neurodiagnostic Technology or completion of a Neurodiagnostic Technology program.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA) and Certification for Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) - ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
