Job Summary

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is seeking a highly skilled Diversions Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Right of Way Diversion Planning and Integration Team, you will play a critical role in supporting the planning and coordination of Right of Way diversion access for our teams and select third parties.

You will work closely with multiple departments, including Engineering and Capital, Rail Operations, Engineering and Maintenance, Operations Control Center, Construction & Logistics, and Safety, to oversee and administer RDPI maintenance activities and recordkeeping. Your analytical skills will be essential in providing key inputs into diversion planning, resource planning, and allocation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the RDPI in Right of Way diversion planning and integration for the MBTA teams and select third parties.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple MBTA departments to develop workforce planning tools.
  • Provide admin support to maintain appropriate KPIs to measure and report the performance levels within the Right of Way diversion access plan.
  • Support the RDPI in resolving any planning or execution disputes for the diversion planning.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships between key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain and administer the online ROW Diversion tool.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
  • Three (3) years full-time (or equivalent part-time) experience working in transportation planning, construction planning, construction management, transit operations, project management, and/or similar experience.
  • Demonstrated focus on data and experience of using data to run complex analysis.
  • Effective organizational, analytical, confidentiality, quantitative, writing, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • Proven track record of collaboration, transparency, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of transit construction techniques.
  • Experience working and leading teams for a public agency.
  • Knowledge or experience in transit or transportation, including railroad or airline operations.
  • Knowledge of MBTA's assets and how they are managed.
  • Previous experience of engineering planning activities.
