Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our property team and drive business success. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of property operations, including managing general property performance, food and beverage operations, sales and marketing strategy, profitability, revenue generation, and human resources activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Property Operations: Ensure service programs are in place and executed against, provide timely feedback to management and hourly associates on service and operational standards, and manage labor between departments to support effective management of Labor Budget and achievement of profitability goals.
  • Manage Food and Beverage Operations: Monitor Food and Beverage forecasting and par levels to reduce waste and maximize Food and Beverage profit margins, provide timely feedback to management and hourly associates on service and operational standards, and establish and leverage local vendor relationships to support food and beverage operational needs.
  • Manage and Sustain Sales and Marketing Strategy: Work with the Regional Sales office to implement sales strategy for the property, work with Market Sales to establish property sales strategy, goals, and action plans, and identify and champion creative marketing solutions that fit the brand and property needs.
  • Manage Profitability: Manage on-property controllable costs associated with rooms, housekeeping, events, and food and beverage operations, measure, analyze, and communicate property performance using a variety of financial/non-financial data, and update and communicate profit forecasts to associates/managers.
  • Manage and Conduct Human Resource Activities: Lead associates through property changes, help them transition into new property roles, conduct day-to-day Human Resource transactions to support needs of the property, and complete management training and cascade/deliver training to associates.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 4 years' experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to analyze data and make informed decisions, and experience in managing property operations, food and beverage operations, sales and marketing strategy, profitability, revenue generation, and human resources activities.
