Overview

Weekes Forest Products, a leading national wholesale building material distributor, seeks an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to drive sales growth in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. With a strong focus on customer relationships and strategic planning, this role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in B2B sales/distribution.

Salary

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of approximately $85,000 per year, plus additional benefits and incentives. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to earn up to $110,000 annually, based on performance.

About the Role

The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a personalized sales strategy to maximize revenue and results. Key responsibilities include:

  • Researching and identifying sales opportunities through internal associates, industry publications, online sources, and client/vendor networking.
  • Establishing and maintaining business relationships with prospective and existing customers through phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Developing and delivering effective sales presentations to negotiate and close profitable business across all products and services.
  • Ensuring clients have up-to-date product samples and brochures, and working with vendors to ensure proper sales positioning.
  • Consulting with clients to determine requirements and expectations, and recommending specific solutions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3 years' experience in sales and distribution, preferably in the building materials or construction industry.
  • An associate's degree or comparable work experience.
  • A proven track record of B2B sales/account management, with the ability to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and close high-level sales.
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills, with the ability to use a consultative approach to close sales.
